About Us

Little Fursdon Luxury Cornish Yurts is a small family run business on the edge of Bodmin Moor run by David and Lindsey Fear. We had the idea to start a small camping business a couple of years ago but didn't want to go down the traditional route of opening a pay and pitch site where the tents are so close together that you can hear your neighbours snoring at night. We very much wanted to provide our guests with something a bit different and with a touch of real luxury to it!

Living in Cornwall for many years we had seen yurts on several occasions in different locations around the county and thought them to be a really interesting and alternative way to camp. We had been to a game park in Tanzania a few years ago and stayed in a 'tent'. However, it was quite different from any camping experience that we had previously had. It had a real beds, a little terrace with comfy seats where you could sit and watch the world go by and even its own bathroom! It was a memorable week and when we decided to open our own business, it was from this experience that we drew our inspiration.

Each yurt is furnished for warmth and comfort in a contemporary style. So if you are looking for authentic Mongolian yaks wool rugs and the aroma of goats hair blankets.......then we're probably not for you!

Each yurt has a king sized bed and futons for the younger guests with plenty of storage for clothes and other belongings. You will also have exclusive use of your own shower room, so no sharing facilities. You can leave your towels to dry on the heated towel rails and your other personal belongings on the shelf without worry.

We hope that our guests will have a memorable, hassle free week with us. We have tried to think of all the things that you might need during your stay so that all you have to do is turn up with your bags......and maybe a pair of wellies, as the grass can be damp in the mornings.

This is only our second season in business and we have just two yurts this year.  We are opening for the Easter holiday week-end and we hope that we can meet your expectations for an exciting and memorable holiday, for all the right reasons.
